- Guerrilla raid on Calhoun, MO, where they burnt 1 church, 1 tavern, 2 homes, and robbed 2 stores. Their leader, Dr. Beck, was killed.
- Skirmish near Kingsville, MO, with guerrillas.
- Affair at Montevallo, MO, 35 miles east of Fort Scott, where bushwackers attacked the town. A railroad train just arrived from Fort Smith with about 1,000 refugees.
