ACWS Events Calendar 2019

April 28 MORLEY, West Yorkshire CONFIRMED(*)

Small Society Event at Morley Rugby Club, Scatcherd Lane, Morley, Leeds LS27 0JJ. This is part of the town's St George's Weekend of activities with ACWS involved on the SUNDAY with Living History and in the parade at 11:30am from the Town Hall to the Family Fun Day at the Rugby Club.
Event runs from 10:30 to 17:00 Sunday, with setting up for the day from 08:30 Sunday.
Living History on SUNDAY only.
Members camping available overnight Saturday from 17:30 to Sunday.
Toilets, water, showers and a bar on site. All fires off the ground. Dogs welcome.
No registration fee, but members must still register for insurance purposes.

Full Society event as guests of SoSkAn at Great Westwood Equestrian Park, Old House Lane, Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, WD4 8RS. The site is less than 5 minutes from J19 or J20 of the M25 north of Watford.

This a campaign event on private land which includes about 100 acres of woodland where we can immerse ourselves in an ACW weekend without the intrusion of the public. Not suitable for families.

ACWS members can attend as their own ACWS regiments or as individuals embedded in the SoSkAn regiments attending. Unfortunately ACWS Artillery or Cavalry cannot be accommodated.

Members' authentic, campaign and modern camping available.
Arrival is from Friday 2pm, and departure by Monday 6pm.
Activities on SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND MONDAY, finishing probably early Monday.
Registration fee for ACWS members will cover usual campaign event costs (i.e. no sponsor), £20 to SoSkan for combatants and £15 for non-combatants and under 18 year olds. There is an extra fee of £10 for ACWS Members drawing 100 rounds of pre-packed ammo from SoSkAn. All monies payable to SoSkAn.

June 22-23 EARLS BARTON, Northants CONFIRMED(*)

Full Society event at the multi-period event East Midlands History Festival 2019, Whites Nurseries, Clay Lane, Earls Barton, Northampton.

Living History and skirmish on SATURDAY & SUNDAY with Infantry, Artillery & possibly (self-funding) Cavalry.
Members' camping from Friday 12 noon until Monday 12 noon.
Re-enactors market, beer tent and live music on Saturday night.

Full society event at M5 Multi-period event at Spetchley Park Gardens, Spetchley, Worcester, WR5 1RS, organised by the Worcester Re-enactors.

Members camping from Friday afternoon to Monday morning, shared family camp.
Unfortunately, there are NO DOGS ALLOWED at this event.
Infantry, Artillery & (self-funding) Cavalry. SoSkAn have been invited to join us.

Living History and Skirmish on SATURDAY & SUNDAY.

Full Society one day event at Ibstock Country Show, Ibstock Show Ground, Pretoria Road, Ibstock, LE67 6LN.
A one day show on the Sunday, but members may camp from Friday afternoon to Monday morning.
On Saturday, Living History only, but in the afternoon/evening there is a music festival for us to enjoy. Maybe the Drum Corps could do a turn?
Living History and Infantry Firing Display on SUNDAY.

Full Society event at Tilston Wakes Country Fair The Playing Field, Church Road, Tilston, Malpass, Cheshire, SY14 7HB.
Members camping from Friday afternoon to Monday morning.
On SATURDAY, a parade followed by a firing display of infantry and artillery on the event field & Living History.
On SUNDAY, the show will open with a cannon round, during the afternoon a firing display, kids drill finishing with a short skirmish in the arena.
Note the event is only on SATURDAY & SUNDAY of this Bank Holiday.

Full Society event at the Shackerstone Family Festival, Barton Lane, Shackerstone, Leics, CV13 6NE.
ACWS have been here before. It is a lovely show set in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside. As well as the Show there is the battlefield line steam railway and the historic canal boat festival.
Hopefully will include Infantry, Artillery and Cavalry.
