Sharon Lord

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Sharon Lord, aged 64, at 3.55am on 23rd November 2022, peacefully at home with loved ones by her side.

Sharon was a regular member of the ACWS from 1999 until 2015 initially as a member of the 2nd South Carolina until 2001, then finally the 1st Tennessee until 2015.

Our sincere condolences go to Sharon's husband Steve, daughter Samantha, son Daniel and their families.

In the words of her daughter Samantha, Sharon was:

"Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2018 [and] fought long and hard to the bitter end, surpassing all timescales. Her love for life was infectious. To fight so hard for so long was nothing short of a miracle.

"She was the kindest, most caring and loving mother. Nothing was too much and she would do anything for her family, it takes a special kind of person to have such a caring understanding heart.

"You were fun, you were fair, you had boundaries, taught good lessons & morals, you were perfect."

Sharon wished not to have a funeral, instead there will be a small private gathering at a later date.
