- Skirmish on Yellow Creek, or Muscle Fork, Chariton River, MO, results in a Confederate defeat.
- Engagement on the Black River, SC, some 20 miles above Georgetown, SC.

- Skirmish near Medon, TN, and 15 miles south of Jackson, TN.
